Meals on Wheels is made possible thanks to a combination of government funding and private contributions. Though the need for the program has grown, the federal funding provided through the Older Americans Act has not kept pace. Donations have declined as well. Over 5,600 homebound seniors in the Greater Houston/Galveston area rely on our Meals on Wheels program as their primary source of nutrition.
