Share your Thanksgiving holiday with a Houston Senior

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston
Invites you to share your Thanksgiving holiday with Houston Seniors! The 21st Annual Houston Meals for the Elderly (HoME) program delivers traditional Thanksgiving meals to seniors who receive Meals on Wheels.  These seniors have few or no home visits and experience loneliness, sadness and hunger daily. Click here to learn more.

Pet Food Needed!

aniMeals on Wheels needs your help! The program, which delivers food for pets of seniors who receive Meals on Wheels, is experiencing a shortage in pet food.  The program began because seniors receiving Meals on Wheels were sharing their limited resources and, in some cases, their much needed home-delivered meal with their pet.  aniMeals on Wheels survives on donations and is delivered entirely by volunteers.  Please, help feed these companions by donating, both dog and cat (wet or dry) pet food.  For questions about the program, donation, or volunteer information please contact Denise Atkerson or 713-533-4922.

Thank you Houston! On Tuesday, October 27, KUHF’s Fall Campaign partnered with IM’s Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston to help raise operating funds for KUHF and money for senior meals. Because of you, we raised enough to provide more than 8,000 meals to hungry seniors. Thank you for answering the call to help both KUHF and Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston!

Thank you to our recent
corporate sponsors!

Reliant Energy donating $23,000 check Thank you to Reliant Energy who supplied special emergency meals for all of our 3900 + Meals on Wheels clients.  Each senior received a three-day pack of shelf-stable meals for use in a hurricane or other emergency.
Halliburton Golf Tournament We were also recently a recipient of the Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament. This year the tournament donated a new Meals on Wheels truck. This truck is specially designed with heating and cooling elements to keep the meals at the right temperature and delivers more than 100 meals each day.
