How Do I Volunteer?

We rely on the valuable contributions of more than 3,000 volunteers annually to provide quality services to seniors and refugees.

We have many volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, and groups to help serve people in need; in addition, many of our projects are appropriate for families with children.

Step 1:
Read about our ongoing and group volunteer opportunities

Step 2:
Complete a volunteer application

Step 3:
Attend volunteer orientation

To learn more about Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM), please join us for a brief introductory presentation about our history, our mission and the projects in which we are involved. Then you will learn about the different services IM offers and the opportunities for you to volunteer as well as our volunteer policies and procedures.

Volunteer orientations are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month and a designated Thursday. Orientation sessions will not be held in December. To register for an orientation, please fill out the Volunteer Application and a staff member will contact you for more information.
