The 2nd annual Operation IMpact will take place on June 3rd, 2017. Operation IMpact provides shelf stable meals and cases of water to IM’s Meals on Wheels clients to prepare them for a hurricane or other disaster. Each Volunteer Team is assigned to one of six convenient sites where they will pick up supplies for approximately 50 seniors on that Saturday. Each Volunteer Team works together to deliver the meals and water to their assigned Meals on Wheels clients. Training is provided in advance.
Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 from 8:00-11:00 am
Meals on Wheels residents live throughout the Houston Metro area and Volunteer Teams will be able to give a preference for their delivery area. Area preference not guaranteed.
Personal vehicles will be used. 1-2 large trucks, vans, or SUVs are recommended for the initial pick up of supplies from your assigned site.
