WHAT: Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM), with the help from 850 volunteers, will be delivering self-stable meal boxes to IM’s 4,000 homebound seniors. These meals can be kept on-hand when inclement weather prevents IM from delivering its meal service. Volunteers will also be delivering a case of water to seniors and a hurricane disaster kit.
Support for this program, called Operation IMpact, comes from Shell and the Harris County Area Agency on Aging (HCAAA) and the Houston Food Bank. IM also wishes to thank distribution locations for their help with this event.
