HOUSTON (September 27, 2016) – Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s (IM) For All Humanity Luncheon (FAH), a celebration of the rich cultural and ethnic diversity that makes Houston such a vibrant community, will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016.

IM is honored to recognize community leaders Farid and Asha Virani at this year’s luncheon. Farid Virani is the founder and CEO of Prime Communications, the largest privately held AT&T Authorized Retail Chain. Asha Virani is an internal medicine physician who is active in a number of causes dedicated to improving children’s health and education. Together they both actively give back to the community.

Event chairs are: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Vaughan; Mr. and Mrs. Akbar Mohamed; Mr. and Mrs. Beau Pollock; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kermally; and Mr. and Mrs. Manolo Sanchez.

“It is our privilege to support the outstanding work Interfaith Ministries does in our community, especially for the most vulnerable among us,” said the Viranis. “The values they embody of compassionate service makes Houston a better place for all.”

This year, IM will be introducing a marketplace of beautiful gifts for purchase, with fabulous finds from Community Cloth, Elaine Turner, Kendra Scott and Popinjay.

Proceeds from the FAH luncheon help IM’s many valuable programs, including Refugee Services, which serves more than 2,000 refugees each year fleeing persecution and violence in their homelands. More than 90 percent of these refugees are self-sufficient members of the Houston community within six months of arrival.

“IM is very proud of our success helping refugees find jobs, housing and schooling for their children,” said Martin B. Cominsky, IM’s President & CEO. “We can’t help settle new Americans without the help of generous supporters, like the Viranis, and others in the community.”

The luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m. Individual ticket prices begin at $200 and table sponsorships at $2,500.  For more information, visit www.imgh.org or contact Lauren Peterson at 713-533-4972, /Users/shashemi/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/INetCache/Content.Outlook/4OFF8PZ9/lpeterson@imgh.org“>lpeterson@imgh.org.
