HOUSTON (May 11, 2017) –  Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM) is planning its second annual Operation IMpact and needs volunteers to deliver shelf-stable meals and bottled water to its Meals on Wheels clients.

Operation IMpact, which will be held Saturday, June 3, helps prepare homebound seniors across our community for hurricane season and other times when inclement weather and flooding interrupts regular meal deliveries.

Teams of volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon, to deliver the meals and cases of water to clients’ homes. This is perfect volunteer opportunity for houses of worship, community groups and families.

There will be five locations across the greater Houston area where volunteers can pick up their deliveries:

  • Houston Food Bank
535 Portwall Street Houston, TX 77029
  • Covenant Lutheran Church
3785 Barker Cypress Road Houston TX 77084
  • Centerpoint Energy
    3000 Harrisburg Houston TX 77003
  • Meals on Wheels
3202 San Jacinto Houston TX 77004
  • Humble Area Assistance Ministries
    1204 1st St E Humble, TX 77338
