Steps
to Becoming an IM Volunteer
We
rely on the valuable contributions of more than 1,000 volunteers
to provide quality services to seniors and refugees. We have many
volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups to help serve
people in need; in addition, many of our projects are appropriate
for families and children. Please follow the steps outlined below
for becoming an IM volunteer.

Step
1. Fill out a volunteer information
intake form. (You can request an intake form by e-mailing
Tiffany Harris or by sending
a request to 'Volunteer Services, c/o IMGH, Houston, TX 77006.
Intake forms can also be filled out at the orientation.)
Step
2. Attend a volunteer orientation.
Step
3. Choose which program you would like to volunteer for from our
volunteer opportunities.
Step
4. Choose a start date.
Step
5. Volunteer!
Please
note that because of the vulnerability of the populations we serve,
we require a criminal background check for volunteer opportunities
with direct client contact and ask for a $5 donation for this
process.
