Volunteering Opportunities
We rely on the valuable contributions of more than 1,000 volunteers to provide quality services to seniors and refugees. We have many volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups to help serve people in need; in addition, many of our projects are appropriate for families and children.

Opportunities to work with seniors
  • Deliver Meals on Wheels on Thanksgiving Morning
  • Deliver groceries for our Food for Seniors Project
  • Organize a children's group to make birthday or holiday cards for seniors
  • Make place mats, holiday & birthday cards, lap quilts or gifts bags
  • Purchase prepared meals from IM's Project Dine for homebound members of your school, business or congregation
  • Assist with loading Food for Seniors boxes on the 3rd Saturday of the month
  • Deliver Pet Food to pet companions of Meals on Wheels seniors
Opportunities to work with refugees
  • Tutor a refugee
  • Sponsor or co-sponsor a refugee family or individual
  • Assemble "Welcome" baskets for newly arrived refugees
  • Research employment opportunities
  • Conduct drives for diapers, school uniforms and blankets
  • Organize a clothing drive for general items and/or urgently needed seasonal outer wear and business appropriate attire.
Administrative Opportunities
  • Be an official aid and help several departments with their filing/organizational needs
  • Join a Committee
