Brighten the Holidays for Meals on Wheels Seniors

In the month of December, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston continues to spread seasonal joy by distributing holiday gift bags to homebound senior clients in Greater Houston and Galveston County. The bags are filled with items often requested by the seniors, including warm items like socks and gloves, toiletries, and fun items like crossword puzzle books. These may be the only gifts participating seniors receive.

As the number of seniors experiencing food insecurity and social isolation continues to increase, Interfaith Ministries remains committed to providing meals and more for this vulnerable population. To prepare our seniors for any harsh winter weather, we also provide them with a supply of shelf-stable, emergency winter meals to use in case icy roads disrupt our deliveries. These meals were a lifeline during Winter Storm Uri!

If you would like to assemble your own gift bags for our seniors, please email Your Volunteer Services Team at thanksgiving@imgh.org and let us know how many completed Holiday Gift Bags you plan to bring and when you will be dropping them off.
