Volunteer drivers are needed for Meals on Wheels food deliveries
HOUSTON (February 18, 2020) – Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (Interfaith Ministries) is hosting Operation IMpact 2020 on Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon at distribution centers located in Harris County and Galveston County. Operation IMpact volunteers will be delivering shelf-stable meals to 4,400 homebound seniors in preparation for hurricane season.
Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver emergency meals to Meals on Wheels seniors. In addition to shelf-stable meals, seniors will receive emergency kits filled with an assortment of items including but not limited to a document bag, pens, notepads, emergency action wheel, and emergency contact information.

Partners include Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Harris County Area Agency on Aging and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
