Frequently Asked Questions - Food for Seniors

What is the purpose of this project?

Recent studies have shown that 80% of the seniors in America live within the poverty guidelines. In assessing the needs of seniors residing in Houston, we found that many of the seniors, people who have very little income, must chose between purchasing expensive medication or purchasing food. The purpose of the Food for Seniors project is to provide additional groceries the last week of the month to assist with their limited food resources.
