Spiritual Gathering for Women

The faith community will share a presentation on their beliefs and practices during a brief 30 to 45 minute educational session. Following the presentation attendees will engage in a question and answer session.  Women from various faith traditions and beliefs will participate in a small group dialogue while sharing a culturally sensitive dinner provided by the host community.

World Religion Class-Buddhism
Winter-Spring Series: Congregation Beth Israel
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
A basic understanding of world religions is increasingly important in our society as we seek to create peaceful coexistence among people of all faiths and no faith.  In this short public series, scholars of Rice University's Boniuk Center for Religious Tolerance and Resident Scholars will explain the "basics" of major world religions. People of all backgrounds are welcome, and will find this class helpful regardless of any prior knowledge about religion. Please note there is a fee for attendance.
