HOUSTON (January 18, 2023) – On Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., philanthropic animal lovers will play ball at Hotel ZaZa – Museum District for the annual Wags & Whiskers Brunch, benefiting Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s Animeals program, which provides pet food, toys and preventative vet care to the pets of homebound seniors.

The “World Series Champs” themed event will feature a pet fashion show and silent auction and is hosted by Brunch Co-Chairs April Ayers and Heather Birdsall-Knowlan. Guests are invited to enjoy an inspiring program emceed by Casey Curry honoring longtime Animeals and Meals on Wheels donor Jim Sikorski. The event’s lead sponsor is Fred G. Marshall, who gives in loving memory of his wife Linda.

Guests can purchase a table for ten that includes additional benefits at the Hall of Fame, MVP, Grand Slam, Home Run, or Rookie levels to support Animeals. Animeals was started more than 10 years ago when Interfaith Ministries’ Meals on Wheels drivers discovered that seniors were sharing their food with their beloved pets. Today, Animeals provides free pet food, toys, and preventative vet care for more than 1,000 dogs and cats.
